Creating a Stunning Koi Fish Pond with Expert Setup in Aluva

The construction process spanned approximately two weeks, employing reinforced concrete (RCC) with 8 mm reinforcements, while the pond’s interior surface was meticulously finished with fine cement plaster.

Our Koi ponds are equipped with cutting-edge filtration systems designed for longevity and crystal-clear water. Here are some key highlights of our setup:

  1. Multi Cyclone System with an Easy Drain Feature
  2. Biological Bed Filter
  3. Skimmer
  4. Air Diffusers
  5. Bottom Drain with Backwash Capability
  6. UV Water Clarifier (225 watts)

Thanks to our advanced filtration system, water parameters remain consistently within the normal range, maintaining an ideal pH level of 7.5. The biological filtration, coupled with UV treatment, operates around the clock, ensuring optimal conditions for your Koi.

Mechanical systems, on the other hand, only need to run for a modest 3-4 hours daily to eliminate accumulated debris and fish waste. This efficient operation minimizes energy consumption, and cleaning the pond is a breeze, taking no more than 10 minutes.

Our mechanical filtration system incorporates a high-capacity multi-cyclone system with a rapid drain valve, requiring only 2 to 5 litres of water for each backwash or cleaning cycle.

A Koi fish pond is a delightful way to cherish your beloved Koi. Not only does it provide a pristine environment for these magnificent fish, but it also creates a picturesque and serene spot for our valued clients.

However, it’s important to note that Koi fish ponds differ from water gardens in that they demand regular care and maintenance, including water testing and filter backwashing.

When introducing new fish, it is imperative to quarantine them for 2 to 3 weeks in a separate tank to minimize the risk of infections, which can sometimes be fatal if left unchecked.

We recommend adding only a few fish at a time, initiating the biological filtration process with a pond starter kit from API, and conducting regular water quality checks, all of which have consistently yielded satisfactory results within normal parameters.

Temperature readings consistently range between 22.5 to 24 degrees Celsius day and night.

To maintain optimal oxygen levels, we employ a high-pressure air compressor delivering 120 litres per hour, ensuring that our Koi always have access to pristine oxygen levels.

For additional protection against harmful bacteria and viruses, we have integrated a UV water clarifier, which also effectively controls algae growth, ensuring crystal-clear water clarity.
