For grid-connected solar power plants of capacity ranging from 1 kW to 1Mw following are the guidelines for the consumers:
Grid Connection Procedures for Solar Power Plants KSEB
Application for grid connectivity for power plants of capacity ranging from 1 kW to 1 MW shall be submitted to respective section offices under the consumer category.
The application should be submitted in the prescribed format along with a non – non-refundable fee of Rs.1000 as cash or as DD in favour of Asst. Engineer.
If the consumer wishes to use/transfer the generated grid electricity somewhere else in his name, those details are also to be furnished along with the above application form. This facility is only applicable to those who are able to generate a minimum of 500 units of electricity for the Grid Supply.
Once the application is received, a receipt will be given from KSEB.
The Feasibility Certificate will be issued to consumers after a satisfactory verification of the power plant after the site visits by KSEB officials. The Feasibility Certificate shall be valid for a period of one month.
The Feasibility Certificate will clearly mention the capacity of the solar power plant which the consumer can install.
The following additional details shall be furnished along with the final application form within a month’s time from the date of issue of the Feasibility Certificate.
- Scheme approval from the electrical inspector.
- The proposed power plant’s single-line schematic diagram, with technical details, specifications and photographs.
- Technical details of the grid-connected inverter, hand-operated isolator switch, solar meter, net meter, etc.
Type Test Certificates of MCB, ELCB, Inverter from NABL or other equivalent Test Certificates.
After the receipt of the final application and approval of the same, a fee of Rs.1000 per kilowatt shall be paid to KSEB.
The solar power plant shall be installed within 6 months from the date of fee payment. 80% of the fee will be refunded upon commissioning of the solar plant.
